Q. What is USAINTERN,LLC?
A. Usaintern,llc develops online internship websites on a state-by-state basis. Usaintern,llc consists of over 50 internship specific websites across the nation. Colleges students can find educational programs (internships, externships, co-op programs and volunteer programs) within 5, 10 , 15, 20 miles of their zip code, statewide or even nationwide. Employers can promote education programs in over 80 career categories. All internship postings are free of charge.

Q. How do the websites work?
A. Employers have the availability to post unlimited internship programs free of charge. Employers may view any resumes attached to their internship programs for free providing a seamless connection with candidates.

Students may search the internship database for local and statewide internships in over 80 career categories. Students can find credit and non credit programs for both paid and unpaid opportunities. Students can also search by company for any opportunities.

Q. How long do internship postings remain in the database?
A. The USAINTERN,LLC team follows up several times a year with employers regarding internship postings. Our goal is to provide the most up-to-date opportunities for our students.

Some internships remain on a continuous basis as the employer offers internships every semester throughout the year.

Other employers may specify a start and end date of their internship. The internship will automatically close on the designated end date.

Q. How long do student resumes remain in the database?
A. Resumes remain in the database for up to one (1) year. This allows the students to apply to internships in multiple semesters.

Students are notified via email regarding their resume status. Students can either update their resume and resave it for employer review or students can remove it from the system. If the student does not respond to the resume update request, it will be automatically removed from the database.

Q. Do you work with International students?
A. International students may utilize the services on the Usaintern website. Any student may create a resume and attach it to any of the internship programs. However, it is up to the individual company (employer) to coordinate programs with international candidates.

It is best for international students to contact the company directly and inquire about international programs.

Q. How many programs can I post?
A. Employer postings are unlimited. Employers may post internships, externships, co-op and volunteer programs. There is no limit to the number of postings.

Q. How long does my internship posting last in the database?
A. Employers may specify a start and end date or choose a continuous internship. Continuous internships do not have a start and end date. They provide a general semester description such as: Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter. Employers may manually remove these programs at any time.

Q. Does it cost anything to post an internship?
A. It is free to post unlimited internship, externship, co-op and volunteer programs into the database. Students may view your internship program and attach a resume to your program. Student resume attachments immediately go into the employer account page for free employer review. Employers may review all resume attachments for free regardless of one resume or a hundred.

Employers may upgrade an account to view ALL of the resumes in the 7000+ resume database. Employers may purchase the $199.00 package for three month review or $350 for the annual review. These are flat fee's and not monthly subscriptions.

Q. How are you different from Craigslist, MonsterTrak and Careerbuilder?
A. USAINTERN,LLC specializes in developing internship websites on a state-by-state basis. Our services help students to connect with internships, externships, co-ops, and volunteer programs on a per state basis.
Employers can also connect with local colleges and students on a per state basis.
Resumes are organized by location, department, candidate, and date.

Q. Is there a fee if I choose an intern or if I hire an intern for a full time job?
A. No. There are no additional fees for choosing a candidate for an internship or employment.

Q. Will my contact information be visible to the general public?
A. Contact information is not provided to general users of the site. Only students with a Premium account have availability to see contact detail.

Q. If a student comes to my company for credit, what do I have to do?
A. This question has two possible answers:

a.Students may ask you, "Does your program require college credit?" This is entirely up to you. Some companies require that the student is in college and they are going for credit. Other employers may not have preference. You may set the internship requirments according to your own preference.

B. A student may come to you and say,"I need this internship for credit"? If so, they will need to provide the necessary documentation to you. Students can get this paperwork from their academic advisor or career center. Every school is different, however you can expect to fill out your company information, student hours, student duties and supervisor information. Signatures of the supervisor, student and academic advisor usually appear at the bottom of the document. It is then up to the student to submit the proper paperwork to their their school. Companies are advised to maintain a copy of the paperwork for their records.

Q. Why should I post my internship at the USAINTERN,LLC websites?
A. Usaintern offers a concentration of local internship opportunities for students, campus advisors, teachers, and parents seeking quality opportunities on a state-by-state basis.

Q. Can I post a job on the website?
A. Usaintern does not post employment opportunities. This websites are dedicated to internship opportunities for college students and recent graduates.

Q. Does it cost anything to apply to an internship?
A. It is free to create a resume, search the internship database and apply to the internship programs. Students have an optional upgrade service allowing them to review all contact detail in the internship database. Premium students may also utilize the Cell Phone Text service allowing employers to request internship interviews through an automated text service.

Q. Who can see my resume?
A. Employers may view any resume attached to their internship. Only premium employers may review the complete resume database. Students do not have the availability to view other student resumes.

Q. How do I know if an internship position has been filled?
A. Employers do not always close their internship program once it's been filled.
Some employers continue to gather resumes for other opportunities. In other cases, Employers experience high volume of resumes and they just decide to keep the program open for future reference.

Students with an Premium account can follow up with the company and inquire about the program status.

Q. Why should I upgrade my account?
A. Upgrading an account allows you to separate yourself from other applicants. The one time only $9.95 fee provides unlimited access to the contact information in the database. This includes the contact person, email, telephone number and email address. It also doubles the visibility of your resume. It will be viewable in the employer account as well as immediately emailed to the employer. Premium students also have the availability to utilize the Cell Phone Text Alert system. Employers may send an automated text message requesting an internship interview.

Q. Do you offer any services that can help me with resume writing or interviewing?
A. Yes, the Usaintern,llc Student Advice Center offers several articles and examples of resumes and cover letters for student review. It also provides interview tips and job hunting suggestions.

Q. Where does my resume go when I attach it to an internship?
A. The resume is immediately viewable in the employer account page. It is a free service for the employer to login to their account and review any applicants to their internship program.

Q. Can I attach a cover letter?
A. This feature is currently in development. Students will be able to upload a cover letter or utilize a text box for employer reference.

Q. Can I tailor my resume for individual companies?
A. This feature is currently in development. Students will be able to customize an unlimited number of resumes.

Q. Can I use USAintern.com after I graduate?
A. YES, graduates may use the website to connect with local employers for non credit internships or employment opportunities. The database consists of thousands of employers. Many of these employers are human resource managers and supervisors who also review resumes for employment. Students may connect with these leads while in school and upon graduation.
